Welcome to GeeWHIZ, where our success is measured by your success. Our mission is to
provide the customer with real solutions to their business problems, not just sell some software or demonstrate our
expertise with the latest technology.
Vision
This is the single most important factor in the success or failure of a technology project. Without a a clear vision, the majority of projects
will fail in spite of a valiant effort to manage the project. Quite simply, it is nearly impossible to manager something that has not been
defined. On the other hand, a project that begins with a clear vision has a real chance to succeed, in spite of the failures, or even lack
of project management. To be sure, good project management plays a role in the success or failure of a project. However, I want to suggest that
the primary factor in the success of a project is Vision.
Think about it this way. If I presented you with a 5,000 piece jigsaw puzzle and asked you to assemble the pieces: Could you do it without
looking at the picture on top of the box? Maybe, but you have to admit it would be a lot easier if you understood the final picture before
you started assembling the pieces. Now let's ask another question: Why would set out to develop a technology solution without first
understanding the big picture?
One more thought about puzzles and technology. When a new jigsaw puzzle is designed, the manufacturer doesn't have a group of people start
creating individual pieces, and then assemble those pieces into the final puzzle. Rather, the puzzle is created with the final picture in
tact, and then broken into the individual pieces to be reassembled by folks like you and I. At GeeWHIZ,we believe in understanding the big
picture, before we start assembling the pieces.
Elegant Simplicity
Ah, you say. Those two terms don't really belong together. So what do I mean? The optimal solution to a problem must not be so elegant or
complex as to be unusable, or so simple that it doesn't actually solve the problem. At GeeWHIZ, we're constantly striving to find the balance
between complexity and simplicity.
By this point, we hope you've begun to understand that we're not just another software company. I encourage you to take a look at our services,
read about our approach to developing and implementing custom software solutions, and then give us an opportunity to evaluate your needs and
demonstrate how we can enable your success.
